The purpose of the PTA Technology Committee is to help raise money for the purchase of computer equipment for the school. Our goal is to raise enough funds to buy laptops or other computer related items for those classrooms that do not have them.  We need your assistance in the donations programs this year by helping us participate in the easy things outlined below that help us reach those goals.  If you have any suggestions or questions, please contact Terri Reed at boxtops@fispta.org.  Thank you for your support!

Grocery Store Purchases:

Kroger Many of you already have one of these and you can designate the school of your choice to receive credit for your purchases. The above UPC is for Farragut Intermediate.  When you’re checking out, just present this letter to the cashier and he/she will scan it along with your regular Kroger Plus card.  You only need to take this letter one time and all of your purchases will be credited to our account. The school will receive a check from Kroger’s after the school year is over. **Remember, you have to “re-link” your card at the beginning of each school year at the store.

Ingles – This program is similar to Kroger’s but our school earns merchandise from the “Tools for School” catalog. If new to the program you have to “link” your Advantage card to our school for us to get credit for your purchases. All you have to do is go to their website at www.ingles-markets.com, click on “Tools for Schools” enroll now link. Our school number is 11680. You must also enter your 12-digit Advantage card number shown on the back of your card. If you do not have an Advantage card, you can get one at any Ingles store. **You have to “re-link” your card at the beginning of each school year for this card too.

Collections:

General Mills Box Tops – We earn 10 cents per box top we collect. Each of the last three years, our school has earned over $1,200.  Just look for them on all General Mills products like cereals, Bisquick, Pillsbury products, Ziploc bags, Betty Crocker, Kleenex boxes and Hefty bags.

Please 1) trim the box tops neatly, keeping the expiration date in tact on the bottom, 2) put them in a plastic bag marked with your child’s grade, teacher & amount  and 3) send them into school.

Twice each school year, Box Tops will send our school a check for each Box Top redeemed. Look for specially marked packages that have double or triple Box Tops on them too! Our goal this year is to top $2,000!!!

Please open the following link to get an overview on how many products you find Box Tops.

Tysons Project A+ - We will be collecting these this year as we get 24 cents per label!!  You must cut out the entire label, not just the little “Project A+” symbol for us to get credit.  You can find them on most frozen chicken products and even their lunchmeat containers.

**Please put all labels and Box Tops in the “Cocoa Puffs” box in the hallway off of the main lobby (heading towards the library). We will collect them 4 times a year (September, December, Christmas, March and at school end). We will once again select one classroom by grade level to receive a party in the fall and one before school is out in the spring. The students enjoy this friendly competition and look forward to seeing which classroom wins the contest!  Thanks and start clipping!!!!!!
